We would like to alert users of $WBTC and of Omni of this announcement by BitGo which will change the operational structure of $WBTC.
From our current analysis of the documents, the custody and proof-of-reserves seems to remain the same and the legal framework should prevent re-hypothecation or abuse of minting. We are continuing to monitor the situation and will make a final announcement at least 10 days prior to the 60 day deadline
